I am Melinda,
a self-taught natural light newborn, maternity, and family photographer based in Berlin. After living more than half of my life in Nagoya, Japan, and spending a few years in Busan, South Korea, we are now back in Europe and calling Berlin home.
When not photographing, I love spending quality time with my two beautiful daughters and my husband, probably outdoors exploring Berlin’s parks, camping, throwing rocks in rivers, or enjoying a good ice cream.
I opened my photography business a few years ago, but photography isn’t just a profession for me—it’s my passion. I pour my heart and soul into every shoot, striving to naturally capture the essence of your family’s love and connection with authenticity and sincerity.
After photographing over 100 families, my goal for each session is to create a fun, laid-back, and stress-free experience. You’ll spend quality time with your loved ones while I capture memories of your unique family connection.

My love for photography began when my first baby was born. I wanted to capture every little expression because it felt like time was flying and she was changing every minute of the day.
Looking back at my own childhood photos, I only have two or three black-and-white pictures of myself—far too few memories to share with my children.
Taking countless photos of my kids taught me to focus on what I’m truly passionate about: being their mom and capturing those fleeting, precious moments. These photos are more than just snapshots—they are memories that will remain treasures for years to come.

Safety
I am Newborn Safety Certified, and I renew regularly my first aid course, not just for my work but also because I am a mom of two little ones. I have worked with hundreds of families and newborns, and I am fully vaccinated.

There are many family photographers in Berlin, to choose from which might be a bit overwhelming so here's why I think you should choose me!
First, as you can see here on my home page my artistic style is very natural and timeless photography, but if from pictures you can get much out of me, and my character, I would highly recommend you to follow me on my social media profiles. There I post (almost) daily, and you can see a lot from bts of my sessions. Also, every family photographer in Berlin has a different personality and there is no better way to discover a person than through Facebook and Instagram.

I am a people person- Friendly, outgoing, and goofy makes my job easy, especially photographing children. Trust me, 9 times out of 10 we will become friends by the end of our session. My personality goes hand in hand with my business and that is another one of the many reasons why I LOVE what I do!
My passion- When you do something you love is it really considered a job? Seriously though! All my life, anything I've ever done I did it with 100% involvement. At our session, you will see me laugh with you, cry with you, and celebrate your kid’s achievements, because this is me, and our session isn't just about taking some pictures. It's creating memories that can be cherished for years to come.
Skill & Preparation- From the moment I bought my first camera, to take pictures of my newly born baby girl, I started taking online classes, and my biggest investments were in mentorships. Besides the fact that in over 7 years I gained lots of experience, it does help that I am a curious person and I truly enjoy continuously learning new things.
As for your preparation, from the moment you contact me, to your gallery delivery, there is a lot of planning and preparation I put into every session. You will receive a questionnaire and several PDFs with my client closet, outfits I recommend for your session, and other preparation tips that help you feel ready for your session.
